making disciples for Jesus Christ for the transformation of the world
Worship and Fellowship Opportunities
God has not called us to be “Lone-Ranger” Christians, but Christians connected to the body of Christ, his church. We strongly believe in the need and importance of fellowship.
Wednesday night supper is served every Wednesday night during the school year at 6:00. This is a great opportunity to fellowship over supper.
The Breakfast Outreach Ministry serves breakfast to the community every Sunday morning from 8:30 to 9:00. Everyone is welcome to come, eat breakfast, and enjoy the fellowship.
The Mentor Group meets monthly for young ladies who are interested in mission work.
Super Seniors meet on the second Thursday of each month from 12:00 to 1:00 for lunch and a guest speaker.
Every Fifth Sunday Claxton First United Methodist Church combines Sunday evening service with our next-door neighbors The Claxton First Baptist Church. The combined service meeting place alternates between the Baptist and Methodist churches. At times, our church will host the Fifth Sunday service at The Parker Family Life Center with a special event. You may call the Church office to find out the date and location of the next Fifth Sunday Service.
The Wesleyan Fellowsip meets in the evening once a month.
The Corine Adams Group meets once a month during the morning.
The Friendship Circle is an online group who communicates via email.
